Sleigh Bells Plan Cleaner, More Melodic Album For 2013

This year has been a busy one for Sleigh Bells. Back in February, the duo of Alexis Krauss and Derek E. Miller released their sophomore album, ‘Reign of Terror,’ and they’ve been touring extensively to promote it. The band has also unveiled plans for a brand-new record, tentatively scheduled for a 2013 r
elease.
The ambitious pair refuse to let their recent success intimidate them — instead, they thrive on it. “Success never paralyzes us … It pushes us forward constantly,” Krauss said in a recent interview. She went on to say that they are “half-way through the new record.” As Miller put it, “We’ll have three full-length albums in three years.”
While they may be quick to produce new music, they also recognize the importance of not rushing through the recording process. “We have to have that final, polished package before taking the road,” Krauss said.
Sleigh Bells’ third album doesn’t have a name yet, but they hinted that their new music embraces a more melodic, R&B-style sound. “I use my voice in more of a, dare I say, traditional way,” Krauss said. Miller, meanwhile, described the forthcoming record as “a lot more clean… it might sound surprising.”

Scissor Sisters Announce Hiatus

Jake Shears, Ana Matronic and Co made the announcement at their show at Camden's Roundhouse in London last night (24th October) stating they have no further plans to work together
The Only The Horses band, who played a second gig at the venue, put on an extended show to thank their fans for their support, before announcing their hiatus.
Shears told the crowd: "This will be the last time we will play in London for quite some time."
Ana Matronic then added that the UK audience were "the ones who got us first - and always get us best".
Following their stint on stage, the band told Gigwise they have no plans to make another album, with guitarist Del Marquis revealing he has already started working on his solo material.
However, Ana Matronic was also quick to assure fans that their break does not mean the permanent end of the Scissor Sisters, adding: "Don't you worry - this isn't the last you've heard of us."

Patrick Stump Denies Fall Out Boy Reunion

Contrary to yesterday's report from The Insider journalist Keltie Colleen, Fall Out Boy frontman Patrick Stump has denied that the band are back together and working on new music. Oh well, there's still hope, right?

Check out what Stump had to say by clicking read more.

"One of these days there may actually be news and you won't be able to hear it over all the rumors.

That's no disrespect to @keltiecolleen btw. She's awesome."

Tickets for these clubs shows will be refunded at point of purchase. Additionally, Green Day will postpone all scheduled appearances for the months of January and February 2013. New dates for these rescheduled shows will be announced shortly and previously purchased tickets will be honored on the new dates.

“Obviously the timing for this isn’t ideal, but Billie Joe’s well-being is our main concern,” said Mike Dirnt. “We are happy to say that Billie Joe is doing well, and we want to thank you all for the outpouring of support and well wishes that we have received, and we can’t wait to see you all again soon.

Green Day also announced they would move up the release date of Green Day ¡Tré! to December 11, 2012 from its original date of January 15, 2013.
