New Drummer For Against Me!

Back in mid-December, following a two-plus-year run, drummer Jay Weinberg, the offspring of legendary E Street Band drummer Max Weinberg, announced his departure from Against Me! Almost immediately, frontwoman Laura Jane Grace took to Twitterto search for a brave new drummer who could fly out to Florida and learn the band’s songs in time for their appearance at this month’s Big Day Out music festival in Australia.
As Faster Louder points out, ex-Rocket from the Crypt member Adam “Atom” Willard was up for the challenge and will accompany the band for their upcoming tour dates. Aside from RftC, Willard has worked as a drum technician for Weezer and had stints in The Offspring, Angels and Airwaves, Social Distortion, Alkaline Trio frontman Matt Skiba’s new band The Hell, and more.

Jack White Outsells The Beatles

Jack White became a bigger seller than The Beatles in 2012 when it comes to the traditional vinyl format.
White’s solo debut Blunderbuss sold 33,000 copies as an old needle-and-groove platter, taking the top spot from Abbey Road, which had been the best-selling vinyl record of the previous three years (and since Nielsen Soundscan began tracking vinyl sales in 2008).
White is nominated for three Grammys including Album of the Year.
